Chemistree, is a service user focused, quality driven, specialised
pharmaceutical home care company, that aims to offer a 'holistic'
pharmaceutical service to its customers. The commitment to quality
is demonstrated by the early achievement of the BSI ISO 9002 accreditation
for the company's community home care services.
Operating
from a large dispensing and distribution depot just South of St Albans
in Hertfordshire, Chemestree currently services 80+ Care Homes for Older
People in the Home Counties, and is developing its base to be able
to offer this service in a wider geographic area. |

 |
This is being achieved
by purchasing a number of smaller pharmacies and distribution warehouses
strategically located to be able to service our rapidly increasing
client base. The supply of medications is only one part of the package
that Chemistree offer to the Care Homes using their services. This is
supplemented by training and advice, pharmaceutical visits and regular
pharmacy reviews.
As
well as providing a service to Care Homes, Chemistree is privileged
to be supplying a considerable number of people living at home with
associated medical supplies such as incontinence pads, enteral feeds,
'sip and drip' feeds etc.
Chemistree has established links with the Quality Care Commission in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire and speaks
on medication in Care Homes at various meetings being held
for Care Providers and Homes Managers. Links have also been established
with the CQC Pharmacy Inspectors.
Chemistree is
privileged to be the appointed Pharmaceutical Adviser to the Hertfordshire
Care Providers Association, with which body we are working to develop accredited
medication training across the board for staff working in the care home
industry.

Chemistree
specialises in the provision of bespoke packages of care to those unfortunate
people who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis and other complex medical conditions
who are living at home. This is undertaken by the dispensing of temperature
-controlled medicines by pharmacists, nurses and trained delivery drivers
in unmarked vehicles to patient's homes, and the pharmacy, nursing, customer
services and logistics department support the service. A number of NHS
Trusts/Hospitals also use the services of Chemistree.
Further monitoring and support is provided by the Pharmacists and nurses
who speak to and visit patients regularly.
Continuity
of care is one of the most important aspects of the service provided by
Chemistree to all of the users of the many services that are currently offered
by the company in all the various care settings. Chemistree aims to be the
preferred provider of monitored dose medication systems (MDS) to Care
Homes and the preferred provider of pharmaceutical support in community
settings
